The Nicolet Visual Arts teachers would like to formally invite you to our art show, "A Knight of Art." We had our first show last spring and have decided to move to a biannual format so we can showcase even more wonderful student artwork.  

What is it? All art students will be installing artwork into gallery settings throughout B-wing using professional installation guidelines. They will be writing artist statements reflecting on their learning for their pieces and will be installing these with the works they have created this year.  

When is it? Wednesday January 14th  Swing by right after school or come to see students and families at our opening reception from 5 to 7pm. We will be opening up the Innovation Arts wing to showcase student art on the walls as well as our studio spaces.  

Teacher’s Choice BEST IN SHOW awards:  We will again be doing a Teacher’s Choice BEST IN SHOW award that you get to give out to one lucky student. There will be a small basket at the end of the hall with cards for you to write your name on, then grab a piece of blue tape to put it up near the student's work who you believe to be the Best in Show. You don’t need to come to the opening reception to do this, you can do it right after school. Students were super excited and proud to win these last year. It is a great opportunity to see what some of your students create when they are working hard in our wing, a chance to build rapport by reaching out and letting them know you came to support them.

Budding Artist Youth Art Awards:  This is a fun new addition this year to share with YOUR elementary and middle school students. Every young student who comes in can give out an award to their favorite piece. There will be a clearly labeled area with Budding Artist awards, pens to use to fill it out and the student will be able to tape it up right next to the piece they decide. We are so excited for this new addition!
