About the Board

The Glendale-River Hills School Board represents local, lay control in the governance of public education for students from kindergarten to eighth grade. The Board is comprised of five citizens, elected by school district voters on a non-partisan ballot to serve overlapping three-year terms. The Board is expected to establish educational policy for the District, approve programs of operation, determine district spending, and evaluate the results. The Board appoints a District Administrator, to serve as the chief executive officer, to whom it delegates the authority and responsibility to execute Board policies.
