Student and Family Handbook
Student and Family/Caregiver Handbook
The Student and Family/Caregiver Handbook answers many of the common questions you and your family may have during the school year. It summarizes important information about student rights, responsibilities, school expectations, and many of the official policies and administrative guidelines of the Board of Education and the School District.
Please note that if anything in the handbook is unclear or conflicts with official Board policies or guidelines, the official policies and guidelines will take precedence. This handbook is effective immediately and supersedes all previous student handbooks and any prior written or oral statements about its contents. If any policies or guidelines are updated after August 1, 2026 the most current version will apply. The most updated policies and guidelines are available on the District’s website.
The GDRH Progressive Discipline and Behavior Matrix establish a consistent framework for responding to student behavior within Glendale-River Hills School District schools. Responses may include interventions, supports, restorative practices, safety measures, and disciplinary consequences intended to promote student success, accountability, belonging, and safe learning environments.
The Parkway Behavior Expectation Matrix and the Glen Hills Behavior Expectation Matrix establish the expected behaviors for students in their classrooms and other learning spaces through the school buildings.
